If you want guitar rock, you go to a pub gig. If you want folky sounds, an open mic night… DJs, to a nightclub. You can see established electronic music bands at big venues, but where will you find a mixture of original acoustic and electronic songwriting in a cosy venue? Electrosonica of course!
Musicians Chandra Moon (songwriter and stalwart supporter of the Bristol acoustic scene) and Paddy Uglow (a more reclusive electronic and acoustic songwriter) have teamed up to put on a performance night that doesn’t turn up its nose at something a bit different and has all the plugs and sockets to deal with some interesting sounds.
Electrosonica is a showcase for acoustic performers, loopers and keyboard-based songwriters. Electrosonica takes over Halo on Gloucester Road and fills it with a variety of songwriting for your listening pleasure. All you have to do is come.
You’ll hear short sets from several songwriters followed by a featured artist in the second half.
Want to know when and where Electrosonica is happening? Sign up for our email list or join the Electrosonica Facebook Group. We promise to only email you about Electrosonica events, and we won’t give your address away to anyone else. There is also an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

Do you play guitar, acoustic piano, synths, live looping material with a lyrical content? Does it only ever get heard in your bedroom or online? If you’re a songwriter and performer (or know someone who is) and would like to be involved, contact Paddy with a link to where he can hear your music.
We supply the PA, mics, a MIDI piano, and a laptop if you require any backing tracks to be played (it’s not cheating if you’ve not got enough hands to play everything at once, but no karakoke please!). Performers will get a free entry and a drink.
